YEAH!!! 11 days old and Baby Nev is finally back up to her birth weight + half an ounce! One more half ounce and she will be 6 lbs. ! Just thought I would anounce that to the world.

Prices On Home Sales Are Lowering

The prices of homes on the market are getting lower. What does this mean for you? Well, that depends on who you are, the buyer, or the seller.

For the buyer this is good news, many of you may have been a) broke or b) having trouble getting financed on high prices, or perhaps both. There is always the possibility of asking about creating a note to help you buy the house, meaning that you finance the house for what you can and ask the  owner to finance the rest (Keeping in mind that you should only do this if you have the ability to pay the amount needed) and you would be making a main payment to the mortgage company and a smaller (case sensitive) payment to the seller. Just a thought. This is a good suggestion for those of you who have a good credit score and can afford the price of the home but have newer credit. One of the factors of the amount you can be financed for depends on how long you have established your credit, so you may make enough but be too "new" to the credit world. There are of course other factors but this is an option.

For the seller, the prices lowering obviously aren't as ideal as you would hope. Like I have said before, the same goes for you when it comes to sales. There are legal, creative ways to sell your home by seller financing. If the buyer has new credit and can't get financed for the full amount even though they have a good score and payment history, you as the seller, can finance part of the house yourself and have them make payments to you. After the deal is done rather than receiving payments you can seller your note to a note investor and receive a lump sum so you can use the money to buy your next home, pay off bills, take that vacation you were wanting, buy a vehicle, whatever your need may be, this is way to get as much money out of your home as possible.

Are Harry Potter Fans Going To Be Disapointed?

Emma Watson, the well loved actress who portrays the endearing know it all Hermione in the Harry Potter films, may not be returning as Hermione after the Order Of The Phoenix. First of all I was under the impression that movie #5 was going to be the last, not that I would complain if they finishe the series (I love the movies and the books). Second, if they are deciding to make the last to books into movies, is J.K. Rowling going to be involved? Either way, I don't think it will be the same without Emma.

Miracles Happen Everyday As A Toddler Survives Wilderness Alone

That's right, in Texas a 2 1/2 year old survived three days in the wilderness ALONE. Poor kid, I couldn't imagine what would happen if my two year old wandered off, and I don't want to. I would hope that he would be as resilient as the poor little boy in this AOL story.

Apparently the little boy and his 4 year old brother were playing outside of their home and their parents were inside with all the doors and windows open (not something I could do, I worry too much) when the 4 year old came in saying he had been bitten by a fire ant. Meanwhile the little one wandered off into the open land where bobcats and coyotes prowl. How scary! I'm so glad to hear he is OK. Click on the link to read the rest.

BABY NEV PICS!

Here is one of several new pictures of our new baby girl who is 10 days old now by the way.  Thank God she is finally out of the baby tanning bed (aka the Bili lights) and gaining weight. 3 more ounces and she'll be up to her birth weight 5 lbs. and 15 oz. and one of the many stressful weights will be lifted for my husband and myself. It's always a panic having a preemie, but she is healthy and doing well. NEW PRESIDENT AND THE WAR ON TERROR

I Know we have a little while before we elect a new president and yes, this time we will have a new president, which is why I'm writing this now. I'm not writing this post as a republican, a democrat, or a liberal, but as a mother, a wife, and a citizen of the United States of America. This election will literally mean the difference between life and death for this nation. Whether any of us like it or not our nation was attacked on 9/11. Not just the president but our whole nation was attacked for "OUR" beliefs, for what we, as a nation, stand for. Of course this poses as a problem because we, as a nation, don't even know what we stand for anymore. Whatever happened to what this free land was founded on, 'one nation under God', freedom of religion, freedom of speech, THE FREEDOM TO STAND SIDE BY SIDE WITH OUR DIFFERENT BELIEFS AND STILL HOLD STRONG BECAUSE WE ARE FREE TO DO SO?  These things are the selling points of living in America, the escape of persecution. How can we, as a nation, ensure our safety and the safety of our family's future if we can't stop fighting amongst ourselves? This is why this election is so important. I realize that there are people for this war and that there are people in opposition of this war, but whether any of us agree that it should have happened or not, IT'S HERE AND HAPPENING. Whomever we elect as a new president cannot just say "peace" and pull our troops out right away, lower our security and expect terrorists in any country to say "OK,they said peace let's be nice. No more bombings and suicide missions." It won't work that way, Terrorists attacked us. And our president decided a war on terror was needed and in the process other people (in other countries, not just America) in turn are pissed off because of this whether it be the right move or not, and our future president has to acknowledge these issues. First and foremost 9/11 was an attack on our nation, not just one person, so having a new president won't fix this nor will having him or her say "It's over" the moment they walk into office. So let us pray that the people of this "free" nation choose right.

And remember we only live this life once, how do you want to spend it, in fear, captivity, oppression, or free, healthy, happy loving and playing your kids knowing you've done what you can for generations after us in any way? The options are endless, Its all a choice.

SHE'S HERE!!!

Hello world!

Have you missed me? I've been busy, her name is Nevaeh! Last Sunday, after much debate (since I had said that I wasn't going until the baby was coming out), we went to the hospital, mainly because Dwayne was afraid he would have to deliver his own baby and I had been in pain (nothing new for the past few months) for 24 hours. I was sure after many visits to the hospital with no gain, that although I was hurting and contracting away, I would hear the same old "Nope, this isn't it Lauri, but we do want to keep you and observe you.".  Not my cup of tea, if you know what I mean. This time however I was given good but scary news, yes, after two months of preterm labor, finally made it to stage two of labor. Of course, this was scary because I was only 36 weeks so I was getting relief but she would still be a preemie.

by early the next afternoon Sept. 18th I was holding my beautiful baby girl. She was 5 lbs. 15 oz. and 18 1/2 inches long. with a mop of black hair. I had to make sure and tell Dwayne she was definitely his as both of the boys had little to no hair and are blond. 

To sum it up; We are exhausted, I'm sore, and We have our blessing, a little jaundiced, but over all healthy (Thank God!)

36 weeks and happy to be home

I have decided not to go back to the hospital until there is a baby poking out. I spent a large chunk of my day yesterday and the night before in the hospital. I'm not a huge fan of hospitals, they make me extremely nervous; They hook you up to machines, in any case there is the worry that there is something fatally wrong, they poke you with needles, make you wear robes that give off the peep show if you move wrong, and all dignity is gone (not that I'm shy, but I think that the doctors have seen more of my lower posterior than my husband has lately).

I am sore, tired, and worn out. I had contractions going about every 4-5 minutes, so I went into triage, where of course, I start to panic, 'is this the time, is the baby going into the NICU if she is born, is there something wrong with her, and oh yes, how many times are they going to stick me with needles?'.  To make a very long night short I'll sum it up; I panic, my useless (by the way)contractions start going every minute in a strange pattern, doc wants to know if there is a tear somewhere and if these contractions will turn into something (you know full blown labor), she didn't want to wake up neonatal doctors for an ultrasound so I stay the night (not that I wanted too). To answer my own worrisome questions, no this is not the time. who knows if she would go to nicu, many 35 and 36 weekers go home with momma. No there isn't anything wrong with her (my body just hates me). And last but not least I was poked with 8 needles, 6 of which were to get an I.V. in, all of which ruptured with the aid of three different apologetic nurses. Anyone who has had an I.V. knows that those are big needles and no they didn't use a numbing agent although after the first 2 tries I did ask.

My baby turns 4 today

Hello world,

today is my oldest's birthday! He almost got a sister for his birthday, thank goodness that didn't happen though or

a) he wouldn't have his own special day and,

b) I wouldn't be able to spend his special day with him.

time goes by so fast, it seems like just yesterday he was learning to walk, and now he has better grammar than many of my own family members (he is extremely smart). My world totally changed the moment I found out that he was on the way, no matter what problems I had with my pregnancy with him or my other two joys, the end result has and always will be worth it. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. I just wish that time could stand still like it did the first time I set eyes on him at least once in a while.
